About

I’m an avid reader and creator of My Virtual Cup of Tea blog. I share my experiences and thoughts on my blog while delving into subjects close to my heart. I believe in the power of reading and Yoga to enhance physical and mental health. These practices are valuable tools for personal growth and overall well-being.

I am a mother of three. I worked full-time in a large corporation for over twenty years, but now I am embarking on a new journey as a freelancer. I quit my 9-to-5 job to spend more time with my family and pursue enjoyable activities.

One of my favourite pastimes is reading. It helps me unwind and escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. However, finding time to read can be challenging, given my busy schedule and long to-do lists. Usually, I read a few pages before bedtime, which is preferable to watching TV. Reading can serve as escapism, temporarily forgetting your worries and relaxing by immersing yourself in a good book.

Reading to children gives you that special time with your kid.
I prefer reading hard copies of books, but I also embrace reading ebooks. I have my books and ebooks collection and constantly search for new ones. Whether you’re reading fiction or non-fiction, you’re continually learning. Reading introduces you to new ideas, concepts, and information, broadening your knowledge base.

Yoga changes your energy. When I started practising Yoga in everyday life, I felt energised and overall calmer and focused. Yoga involves a series of poses and stretches that improve flexibility and range of motion in your muscles and joints. Regular practice can help alleviate stiffness and reduce the risk of injury. Yoga incorporates mindfulness and deep breathing techniques to help calm the mind, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. It also lowers the levels of stress hormones in the body. Many Yoga poses focus on proper alignment and body awareness. Practising Yoga can help you become more mindful of your posture in everyday life, reducing the risk of back and neck pain. It makes me feel good, and I want to share it with you.

Both reading and Yoga offer numerous physical and mental health benefits, making them valuable practices for personal growth and well-being.
